Juicing on the HCG DIET or any WEIGHT LOSS PLAN
Juicing can be an amazing way to bring vital enzymes, minerals and vitamins into your body. It’s an elixir that can truly nourish your cells – especially if the juice comes right from the juicer and into your body within minutes of being juiced. However, it is best to be very cautious about what you are juicing. When we juice, we remove the fiber from the food and this can result in an increase in blood sugar and insulin. Stick with green veggies of celery, cucumber, cabbage with a hint of lemon, mint and apple! Yum. I also like just some nice celery juice in the morning with lemon.
HCG Diet Green Juice Recipe
In your juicer, put in 4-6 celery stalks, 1 cucumber, 1/2 lemon, 1/4 apple and 1 tbsp ground mint leaves. I love this concoction and I would suggest calling it a vegetable serving for the day. On my program, I allow celery and cucumber to be free veggies. If you like a bit of spice, you could add a drop of Tabasco. If you like salty, then you can add a pinch of sea salt. If you need a sweet flavor, then add a pinch of Stevia.
Other Veggies to Juice on the HCG DIET
For those who like celery juice — I recommend beginning each day with a glass. Chock full of nutrient blessings for your whole body. I can her your cells clapping as you take it down! You can also juice cabbage. This one may have a bitter flavor and you can add any of the options (lemon, tabasco, salt or stevia) if you prefer. Cabbage juice is known to have a profound healing effect on the squamous cells of the gastro-intestinal system.
