HCG Diet Dinner Delight – Beef and Cabbage Casserole
Tonight, I went to a good friends for dinner and she made this truly delicious dish for my family! It was a hit AND when we went over the ingredients together I realized that this would be perfect for P2 of the HCG Diet program. I often try to cook for my family with the ingredients that are HCG Diet friendly. This way, my family gets a healthy dinner and I have information to share with my patients. It always amazes me the countless number of recipes I have created using such a limited list of healthy foods. I love it.
Ingredients for this Delicious HCG Diet Friendly Casserole
The ingredients listed below are for one serving of this meal. This evening, I used four times the amount for my family and it was perfect. I always try to use local, organic ingredients whenever I can.
- 3.5 ounces of ground beef or ground buffalo
- 1.5 cups of chopped, green cabbage
- 1/2 cup beef broth, organic, low sodium
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp. Bragg’s liquid aminos
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp onion, minced
- 1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp thyme
- dash of paprika
- dash of salt and pepper
Putting this HCG Diet Friendly Casserole Together
The first step is to brown the ground beef and ground buffalo mixed with the onion. Mix the spices into broth and water. Place the water/spice mix into a baking dish of the desired size and layer the cabbage and ground beef in the liquid. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Enjoy!
