Trigger Point Therapy and Injections

What is a Trigger Point?

A trigger point is a painful, irritated, and tight band of muscle- otherwise known as a “knot”, that you can actually feel when you touch a muscle. These “knots” can cause localized pain or referred pain. The interesting thing about referred pain from trigger points is that it can mimic the pain of pinched nerves in the neck or low back.
