The Four Phases of HCG Weight Loss Plan Made Simple

[caption id="attachment_3856" align="aligncenter" width="251" caption="The HCG Diet -- Dr. Robert Madda"][/caption]There are 4 phases of HCG diet plan, they are called the loading phase; the hcg phase; the stabilization phase and the maintenance phase. Those following our HCG Diet plan will follow the loading phase for 2 days; the HCG phase for 21-40 days with a 2 day transition into the Stabilization Phase for 21 days and then the maintenance or "rest of your life" phase.  All of the phases play an important role in helping the body burn abnormal fat stores and maintain the weight loss. 

The Loading Phase of the HCG Diet

The initial 2 days of the HCG diet & weight loss therapy are called the Loading Phase. In this stage, we suggest our patients consume dense, high fat and high calorie foods. In our clinical experience, the better our patients load, the less hungry they are the first week as they are adapting to this new way of living and eating.† During these 2 days, patients will also begin to use the HCG injections in the morning.  It is theorized that the loading days will help to prime the hypothalamus for fat burning in the next phase of the HCG Diet

The HCG Phase of the HCG Diet

In this phase, patients will weight themselves daily after rising and voiding.  We ask our patients to record their weight daily to track progress.  A daily injection of HCG is taken in the morning.† In this phase, our patients follow a specific diet that is outlined in our Natural Path HCG Diet guide.  This particular phase calls for a diet of 500 calories per day.† It is thought that the HCG ill help to mobilize fat and give the body a lot of extra calories to use.  This is the reason most of our patients report that they are not hungry! It is thought that HG burns the abnormal fat stores and release senergy into your blood stream that can range from 1500 to 3000 calories.  

The Stabilization Phase of the HCG Diet

After you have completed 21 -42 days of the HCG phase, you will have 2 transition days where you stop your HCG injections and continue the very low calorie diet (VLCD) for 2 days or 48 hours. After this time, you will begin to eat more calories and a wider variety of food. The important thing to note on this phase of the HCG Diet is that sugars and starches are not allowed. This is an important part of the program to follow as it helps to reset the metabolism. This phase of the HCG Diet lasts for 21 days.  It is best to keep the calorie intake to 1000-1500/day. Record your weight daily and do a "steak" day if you go over 3 lbs. of your last injection day weight. 

Maintenance Phase or the "rest of your life" phase of the HCG Diet

This phase begins after your three weeks of stabilization phase.

It is important to eat a healthy diet and indulge just once in a while.
