plateau? In a plateau period on the HCG diet
, the consistent weight loss that you have been enjoying suddenly stalls. We are here to help you through the plateau's as they arise. I would go on to say that this is a normal part of the HCG Diet.
What might be the cause of an HCG Diet Plateau?
There are a few things that may be the culprit the HCG Diet plateau. One is simply that in almost all weight loss plans the body will hit a plateau at some point. Usually, a plateau will last for 3-6 days and then weight loss will resume. The HCG Diet is also a very intense detoxification process and this could cause water retention which can seem like a plateau. As the body releases fat, it is also known to hold more water and again the plateau could be due to this re-balancing in the body during the HCG diet.
What can yo do to overcome a plateau on the HCG Diet
- APPLE DAY - this is a wonderful way to resolve an HCG Diet plateau. 5-6 small apples from lunch one day until lunch the next. We see the apple day be effective 90% of the time. Apples help to rid the body of water.
- Go for a 20-30 minute walk within 1 hour of waking. This will help to kick start the body into gear and get the blood moving. We have noticed that this really seems to help move a plateau.
- Drink more water! The water will help to flush toxins from your body that are being released with the burning of fat on the HCG diet.
- Be sure you are not having the same fruit or protein twice in one day. Vary your selections from the HCG Diet food list.
- Avoid beef while you are having a plateau. We have noticed through our on data collections that beef seems to be a culprit in the stalling of weight loss on the HCG Diet with some of our patients.
- Make sure you are exercising on the HCG Diet. Light to moderate exercise is best daily.
- Get plenty of good sleep. Sleep really does help with weight loss.
