What is Stevia?

Stevia is a South American herb that has been in use as a sweetener for hundreds of years. Stevia makes an excellent supplement to the health regimen of diabetics and dieters due to its zero calorie content. Stevia has also been known to reduce cravings for fatty and sugary foods which is very helpful on the HCG Diet.

 

We highly recommend Stevia on the HCG Diet.  The HCG Diet is theorized to be working on their hypothalamus gland (which controls the emotional/eating and drinking portions of the brain). With the addition of Stevia to the HCG diet the taste of something sweet can still be had without raising the blood sugar.  Stevia is available in a wide variety of forms from powder to liquid to tablet and also in a variety of flavors.

In my Stevia research I found a source that stated that stevia may help with the hunger mechanism of the hypothalamus.
