HCG DIET PHASE III or the STABILIZATION PHASE

the road to a new YOU!

The Stabilization Phase is the 3 week period after you have completed your injections on the HCG Diet Plan.

In this phase, you will begin to incorporate more calories into your daily routine. There are still restrictions around which foods you can eat at this time. This is a very crucial part of the HCG Diet program and is when your hypothalamus becomes reset.

Dr. Simeons created these guidelines:
  • you must weigh yourself every morning after urination
  • you may continue to lose weight during this time; however it is best to stay within 2 lbs. of your last injection day weight.
  • It is important not to gain at this time and if you do you must have a "steak day"
  • you cannot eat sugars and starches

WHY IS THIS PHASE SO CRUCIAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THE HCG DIET

It is extremely important to eat plenty of protein during this time. You may add low carb, no sugar protein powders to your day. We recommend eating as if you were on Phase II without limiting calories.  If you go over 2 lbs. from your last day injection weight on the HCG phase of the HCG Diet then it is time for a "steak day." This 3 week period is crucial to the success of the diet according to Dr. Simeons.

The day that you give yourself your last injection of HCG, continue on the 500 calorie VLCD for 48 hours. Then you start your stabilization phase. It is critical that you follow this phase as faithfully as you did the injection phase, because *now* is when your hypothalamus will reset. That weight that you were the morning of your last injection is the weight that you use as a basis for your stabilization phase.

When you start the 3 week stabilization process, you must increase your calories to 1200-1500/day. Please do not continue the 500 calorie diet after the HCG has left your system as you will not be mobilizing the fat as you did while on phase 2 of the HCG diet and will therefore feel tired and weak. This is a scary time for many people as they fear they will gain weight. During this time, if you follow the outlined diet, your weight will stabilize.

THE GUIDELINES OF THE STABILIZATION PHASE of the HCG DIET

***NO STARCH OR SUGAR during this phase of the HCG Diet*** Read labels. Use healthy fats and dairy products to up your calorie intake if necessary. Drink enough water.
  • 1200 and under if you want to continue to lose weight beyond your last injection day weight
  • 1250-1500 calories to maintain for women
  • 1800 calories for men.

READ LABELS during the HCG Diet
Be sure to read food labels, check to see if sugars or preservatives are added into a product before you buy it. Nearly every product in a can or box contains sugar in one of its many names. The first five ingredients listed on an item is the majority of the product, so be sure that sugar is not in the top five. Important: if on a label you cannot pronounce, or know EXACTLY what the ingredient is, DO NOT EAT IT!

FOODS TO AVOID during the HCG Diet Phase III
Avoiding starch means avoid cornstarch, white flour, wheat flour, any flour, pasta, any bread or bread product, bagels, hamburger and hotdog buns, crackers, tortillas, oatmeal, rice, polenta, peas, corn, pita bread, pretzels, corn chips, potato chips, yams, potatoes, pancakes, muffins, nearly all root vegetables, any breading on fish, chicken, or other protein., grains, acorn squash, butternut squash, cereals, granola, cereal bars, popcorn, biscuits, corn bread, taco shells, croutons, rice cakes, Cream of Wheat, and corn meal.

RESATURANTS
Most restaurants and fast food places add sugar to nearly every product, so be wary of eating out all the time. Other meats to watch out for include processed deli meats, bacon, ham, sausage, and hotdogs.
