Embarking on my HCG Diet Adventure

YES!  I am finally going to put myself through the HCG Diet and I am excited about it.  I have been leading participants through our medically supervised HCG Diet program now for almost 6 years.  Facilitating this program as a medical professinal is an absolute joy for me and I am inspired by my patients and in awe of how this HCG Diet program works day after day.


Since I have been pregnant or breast feeding for over 5 years now; I have not been able to partake in this HCG Weight Loss program.  I am by no means over weight but would not mind losing about 10 lbs.  OK ... I know it is "vanity weight" but what the heck ... it will feel good.  One thing I have learned from observing the HCG Diet in action over and over agan is that it is very SAFE!!  My time has come and here we go.  I will be sharing my experiences with you as I get started.


My "Loading Days" experience on the HCG Diet


I am really not a "foodie" so the loading days were actually something that I had to focus on.  I have heard of this same experience from many of my patients.  Others, take the HCG Diet loading days as a license to eat and have no problem putting the food back.  I chose to be sure I had a tablespoon of nut butter here and there through the weekend as well as some avocado.  I indulged on a pixie retreat raw vanilla mousse.  By the second day (today) I really was not hungry at all.  I just finished off a quart of kale salad with cranberries, hazelnuts and squash.  This will be truly the food I will miss the most as I set sail into phase II of the HCG Diet tomorrow.

I have given some mental thought to what these next 21 days might be like for me.  I do not anticiapte it will be much of a challenge.  With my two little ones and our busy practice I barely find time to eat.  I do find myself  nibbling here and there as I prepare my children their meals.  I enjoy a little healthy snack in the evening.  I see where some behavioral changes are in order for me.  I plan to listen to my body and if I need to eat ... I will have a little extra protein.


I have asked myself these questions:

  1. What if I get hungry?  When I get hungry, I get light headed and can get a headache.  If this happens, my plan is to drink about 12 ounces of water and have some protein.
  2. How will it feel to keep my exercise to minimum?  This will be a mental challenge for me as I feel so much better when I get my heart rate up high and engage in fairly strenuous exercise.  I am open to finding new ways to move my body more gently during this process.

I am excited to see what this process is truly like.  I have written books about the HCG Diet and learned and learned and learned all I could (and still I am learning) about the program.  I have facilictated nearly 1000 people through the HCG Diet for weight loss and now it is my turn.


I am so excited to be taking on the challenge of the HCG Diet!  Stay tuned for more updates as my HCG Diet journey continues.
